In September 2012, the Bear Creek Watershed was selected as a Colorado State University dissertation research case study in watershed-wide nutrient management.
The Bear Creek Watershed a mountain headwaters is located west of Denver within the Upper South Platte Basin (HUC10: 1019000208), thus experiencing significant human impacts.
The objective of this research project was to engage multiple stakeholders in expanding the understanding of watershed issues to delineate a wider range of management options through ongoing assessment and learning.
